About the Job: 

The successful candidate will develop and coordinate the delivery of a series of ‘Healthy Holiday Clubs’ for children in Hyde Park and Cross Green.

Terms:
Fixed Term until end of Feb 2022, subject to confirmation of funding from Leeds Community Foundation.

30 hours (4 days), Monday - Friday

Accountable to:
Project Coordinator and Management Committee of HPS (2 days) Trustees of Cross Green Growing Together (2 days)

Responsible for:
Sessional workers running the HH sessions.
Children and Volunteers attending the sessions
Shared organisational development of HPS.

Works alongside:
Project Coordinator, Finance Coordinator, other project workers and Management Committee.

Partnerships:
The role is 50/50 funded by HPS and Cross Green Growing Together (CGGT), the role will be managed through HPS but the work in Cross Green will be guided by CGGT.

About Healthy Holidays:
Now in its third year, Leeds Community Foundation’s Healthy Holidays programme aims to tackle the holiday hunger, holiday inactivity and holiday isolation experienced by many children in deprived areas across Leeds. The Foundation funds, supports and co-ordinates local delivery by community organisations, schools and Leeds City Council community hubs.

More than just food:
Healthy Holidays provides a range of enrichment activities, including arts & crafts, sports & games, gardening & harvesting, outdoor crafts, cooking activities, digital creativity. Activities are delivered to children and to families. As well as fun activities, the schemes provide emotional and social support, so they don’t feel alone and isolated. Children and their families can get the other help they need, as they are connected to longer term support from community groups and council services.
