Chris Hurst - Educator Profile

I trained as a psychiatric nurse when I first left school (RMN) and later as a counsellor (Staffs Alcohol Advisory Service). I was brought up by grandparents who followed the 'Old Ways' and taught me how to grow my own food, forage, make lotions & potions, folklore & customs and many somewhat stranger things. I have continued to follow these practices and customs throughout the whole of my life. I have spent my life passing on this knowledge; to not only my own children, but also to anyone who wanted to learn.
For the last 10 years I have run workshops, courses and events enabling people to reconnect with nature, become more self-sufficient and resilient and produce their own food. I also design edible landscapes.
